About the Event
We celebrate the 150th birthday of Gustav Holst with a programme considering his influence on those around him, including later composers associated with Barnes, where he lived for much of his life.
Alongside some of Holst’s best-loved choral works we are delighted to be including three works by Roxanna Panufnik, one by his daughter Imogen Holst and two by his pupil Edmund Rubbra, alongside fellow Barnes residents Herbert Howells and Francis Dodgson, and John Rutter, whose sublime Hymn to the Creator of Light was written in homage to Howells.
Tickets available at Barnes Music Festival website. Use code HOLST24 to get 15% off the ticket price.
